The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russian Federation to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Stanislav Osadchiy stated that “the matter of abolition of the guarantee system remains an important question, which was not resolved over the last 20 months”.
The peace treaty can be based on the guarantees of the UNSC and Russia, as Member of the SC confirms its readiness to actively participate in the resolution of the Cyprus problem.
The Prime-Minister of the U.K. Mrs. Theresa May also announced the readiness of her government to do everything, that is possible to successfully resolve the Cyprus problem.
