The Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili will perform in the Municipal Garden Theater in Limassol and the Pattichion Municipal Amphitheatre in Larnaca.
The Georgian National Ballet was established in 1945 by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili and was initially called the Georgian National dancing band and was the first professional group in Georgia.
The 2-hour performance by the Georgian National ballet is the uninterrupted story of the development of the Georgian culture and national spirit, as well as the obstacles which were on they way.
The dances of the Georgian Ballet became the national classics over the years. The desire for adventures is reflected in the dances made by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili and are still filling the hearts of the spectators with unforgettable emotions.
The Georgian National ballet has previously performed at the Albert-Hall, Coliseum, Metropolitan-opera, Madisson-square and numerous other famous venues. In 1967 the band has performed at the La Scala- this was the only time when the folklore group was granted a permission to permorm at the famous theatre.
