The 8th International Pharos Contemporary Music Festival

From Wednesday 5^th until Sunday 16^th of October

The 8^th International Pharos Contemporary Music Festival is one of the most innovative and leading annual events in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The festival of contemporary music takes place under the art direction of famous Cypriot composer Evis Sammoutis. The programme of the festival features music masterpieces of the 20^th century, as well as the works of the young generation of composers, many of which were made specially for this festival. The organisers highlight the connection of the new music and various type of art, as well as alternative forms of contemporary music, such as jazz and electronic music.

During the week the festival will present four breathtaking concerts, which will be accompanied by a range of interesting event – screenings of the documentary films, lectures and master-classes.
