The Rialto theater in Limassol will host yet another broadcast from the Metropolitan Opera (Met) in New-York of the Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Madama Butterfly“.
Christine Opolais will demonstrate the breath-taking performance as Madama Butterfly for the first time on TV broadcast screens. By the way, she already participates with great success in the play by Anthony Minguella of 2006, which was highly appraised by the critics. The role of the Lieutenant Pinkerton, who devastated Butterfly’s dreams of love, will be performed by Roberto Antalya. Karel Mark Chichon will have his debut as the conductor.
Duration of the opera: 3 Hours 20 Minutes (with two intermissions).
The broadcast will be shown with Greek and English subtitles.
