“Kataklysmos” festival in Larnaca

From Friday 2^nd June until Wednesday 7^th June

One of the largest and most important folklore  festivals in Cyprus the “Kataklysmos” will take place in Larnaca. Various entertaining activities will be offered to the festival guests around Finikoudes promenade area, Europe Square and at Larnaca Medieval Fort.

Guests will be invited to participate in various sport activities, visit the fair, have a look at the paintings and to try traditional Cypriot dishes and drinks.

The traditional street market (panagyri) will be set up along Athinon Avenue and guests will be entertained with various  artistic performances on the main stage.

The programme will include poetry reading, performances of dancers and singers, theatrical presentations and special children’s programme. Popular artists from Greece and Cyprus will also perform during the festival.

Saurday 3^rd June

• shadow theatre festival (Larnaca Medieval Fort);
• Cyprus Marine Bus exhibition (Europe Square).

Sunday 4^th June

• special children programme, dedicated to Universal Children’s Day (Larnaca Medieval Fort);
• water games, regattas and kayaking race (Larnaca bay).

Monday 5^th June

• beach volleyball and blitz chess championship (Finikoudes promenade).
