International dancing competition – Cyprus Open 2016

Saturday 8^th and Sunday 9^th of October at 18:00

For the first time in Cyprus, the Spyros Kyprianou sports arena will host the International Dancesport Competition – Cyprus Open 2016.

The participants of the competition:

• 300 couple from 18 countries;
• 25 judges;
• The dancers from the top 50 dance couples of the world.

Schedule of the event:

• The grand opening will be on the 8^th of October at 18:00 and will feature the performance by the Minus One band and dance groups of Cyprus.  The final part of the European programme (standard) will include slow waltz, slow foxtrot, quickstep and tango.
• On the 9^th of October the final part of the completion of the latinoamerican progamme (latino) will take place. It will include samba, cha-cha-cha, rumba, paso doble and jive.

The tournament will be accompanied by the music played by DJ Maksy – the popular WDSF DJ in Europe, who started his career in 2011. His music is played almost at all major championships!

The proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to the charity fund “One Dream One Wish” to help children with oncological diseases, as well as to the charity organization “Sirius Dog Sanctuary”.
