“Hangmen” – NT Live

The broadcast from the Royal National Theatre of the Play “The Hangmen” will take place in Nicosia and Limassol.

“Hangmen” – is the new play by Martin McDonagh, the winner of the Lawrence Olivie and Oscar awards, the Director of the films “In Bruges”, “Seven Psychopaths” and the producer of “The Guard”.

In the small pub in the tiny English town, Harry is some kind of the local celebrity. However what’s the second-best hangman in England to do on the day the hanging was abolished?

Amongst the cub reporters and pub regulars dying to hear Harry’s reaction to the news, his old assistant Syd (Andy Nyman – Peaky Blinders, Death at a Funeral) and the peculiar Mooney (Johnny Flynn – Clouds of Sils Maria) lurk with very different motives for their visit.
