From Friday, 14th July to Sunday, 16th July at 8.30pm
“Galatea’s Myths” ballet will be presented in Paphos and Limassol.
The myth tells about Pygmalion asking Aphrodite to breathe life into his sculpture, Galatea, with whom he has fallen in love. The city of Pafos has been named after the fruit of their love, their son Pafos.
Dancecyprus Company presents a neo-classical ballet inspired by this founding myth, choreographed by Italian choreographer Davide Bombana. Over 20 dancers from Cyprus and Italy and 25 members from the Symphony Orchestra of Staatsoper Hannover will participate in the performance.
