“Don Giovanni” – the MET

The Rialto theatre in Limassol will host the screening of the “Don Giovanni” opera from The Metropolitan Opera (Met).

In the memorable and ironic performance, which is directed by Michael Grandage, the main role is shared between by the three charismatic singers Simon Keenlyside, Ildar Abdrazakov, and Mariusz Kwiecien.

The stone guest – Commandor, whom Don Gionanni mistakenly invited for the dinner, send the charming libertine to hell. However, regardless of such an ending, according to the composer, this is a “funny drama”. The smart and mischievous Mozart offer not only to condemn Don Giovanni, but also to see him as an example of enjoying the life to the fullest.

Duration: 3 hours 22 minutes with one intermission

The opera will be shown with Greek and English subtitles.
