Saturday 20th of May at 19:00
The Rialto theatre in Limassol will host the premiere of the play by the Legendary Moscow State Evgeniy Vakhtangov’s Theatre – “Crawfish Cry”, based on the play written by Canadian author John Marrell.
“Crawfish Cry” – is one day and one night from the last summer in the life of great French actress Sarah Bernhardt.
She is already 77 years old, life is gone, but she did not finish playing yet. Spiritually strong woman tries to pierce through the years and revive the memories of the past. Awkwardly and embarrassingly she sits in an armchair and switches on the gramophone. The needle hisses on the spinning disk and a voice comes out from the dark internals, which read the Fedra’s monologue – her most famous role..
Unsurpassed actress plays herself, because the theatre is her entire life!
