Combination of figure skating, circus arts and classical ballet Atria Music and AGENDA PRODUCTION BERLIN presents the show for…
The ancient amphitheater in Curium, the Russian ballet theatre “Moskoviya” will present their performance of “Carmen“, which is based on the novel by Propser Merime with music written by Jorge Bizeaut.
“Carmen” is the apex of the writer’s work, his little masterpiece. Wild and passionate gypsy woman became a symbol of the fatal and destructive power of love. The “Carmen”, which became the basis for numerous ballet, opera, theatrical productions and film adaptations, continues to hold the attention of the audience.
What separates the version of the Russian ballet “Moskoviya” from the others, is that Carmen is ready for everything for her freedom. Her last words are: “It’s all over now. I cannot love you. I’m not willing to live with you. I don’t love anyone now. You have the right to kill me, but Carmen will always be free”. The attractiveness, uniqueness and power of the Carmen’s appearance is not fueled by her love to Theodor, but rather to her love of the Gypsy freedom.
