Atria Music and Grand International Classic Ballet present the world-renowned fairy tale ballet “The Nutcracker”!
Grand International Classic Ballet is a constellation of first-class artists from England, Italy, France, and Spain, who have already won the hearts of half the world with their art.
“The Nutcracker” captivates everyone from three to a hundred years old! Toddlers see the main dream of childhood come to life on stage – the kingdom of sweets. Older children understand that parents can’t always come to the rescue, and they have to fight evil themselves. Teenagers fall in love with the romantic storyline, and it’s no coincidence that there have been so many attempts to make it the main focus. For adults, this ballet magically opens the door to the magical world of childhood, which seems to have gone forever.
Tchaikovsky composed wonderful music filled with deep meaning for this fairy tale. He created a symphonic poem about childhood, the maturation of the soul, the miracles of Christmas night, the battle between light and darkness, and pure love. Airy snowflakes, scary and funny rats, and virtuosically dancing dolls – all together immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of a bright holiday.
The famous choreographer Sergei Bobrov, whose ballets have won numerous awards and conquered different countries, carefully preserves the so attractive characters from the land of sweets, as well as the main dramatic moments, and experiments with the first act. Hoffman’s fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” came to the ballet stage back in the 19th century when Marius Petipa relied on Alexandre Dumas’ retelling for his libretto. However, only in Sergei Bobrov’s production do viewers have the opportunity not only to empathize with the brave Nutcracker’s struggle but also to understand why such a doll appeared in the first place.
